I have a huge wall in my family room.  Like ginormous-sized wall.  Ok, many of you have larger walls, but it's big for this girl who spent much of her adult life in a tiny home in CA and has tiny-sized decor.  Yes, I have lived in my home here for over 3 years but I have not been able to figure out how to decorate this one particular wall without breaking the bank!

Well, I FINALLY came up with a solution and we have been working really hard to help our vision come to fruition.  And I promise I will show you the whole reveal once it's done...probably the beginning of January...but for now, you get a sneak peak because I couldn't wait to show you this amazing Gallery Wall portion of it!

Gallery Wall @SimplyDesigning

Be. Still. My. Heart!  I LOVE how this turned out!

I  built these shelves myself (I will share my complete DIY tutorial on them, I promise!) and received these frames from Cut It Out!  I love love love fun shaped frames and couldn't wait for mine to arrive!  These were just as I had hoped, beautiful and fun!  They are nice quality and painted up really well too!

I ended up painting a lot of them cream (Heirloom White to be exact) and so I pulled out my amazing HomeRight Finish Max paint sprayer so that I could paint all of my cream frames quickly!  It worked so so well!

Then I used yellow and brown spray paint for the accent colors.

Or you could use acrylic craft paint and a foam brush to paint these as well if you prefer!

After I let them dry, I used wood glue to attach my double-layer frames together.  Can I just tell you how gorgeous I think double layer frames are!?  Simply beautiful!

And then I put my photos in the frames and set the frames up on my pretty new wall!  (I will be revealing the whole wall in a couple of weeks!  Hang tight!)  And I just LOVE how it looks!

Now, I feel like I need to tell you the story behind these photos so that you can understand why so many family photos are taking center-stage in my family room.

I love getting family photos taken every year and I was so thrilled because we secured an amazing photographer and a stunning location this year!!  We finally set the date, in a last-minute you have 3 days to come up with outfits kind of way :/ but it all worked out.  And on a Monday, we took some of the best family photos we have even had taken!

The following day, we lost our son.  He was 28 weeks along, and I am looking very pregnant in all of these family photos, but I am so extraordinarily grateful to have photos of our whole family.  These photos will always mean the world to us.

And so today, they are taking center-stage in my family room in these AMAZING frames that I love love love!!

Aren't they just so pretty!?

Now I am even more thrilled to be able to offer one of my readers the opportunity to create your own gallery wall because Cut It Out has so generously offered to give away (1) $50 Gift Certificate to their store!!  (woot woot!)

Awesome ! Looks great!!! Just came across Cut it Out a few minutes ago.I order from another frame company (I am a photographer) that are ornate frames similar to these but they are quite expensive for clients so I do not get a lot of orders. I might guide them toward these frames if they are willing to paint them themselves. 🙂
