I've been teasing you a bit with my huge Gallery Wall that we recently built for our family room (here and here).  And today I am finally ready to reveal my DIY Gallery Wall!  Wahoo!  And I am so thrilled to be able to reveal it as part of the Decorating with Photos series on Capturing the Joy with Kristen Duke's site!

To fully appreciate what I've done, I need to show you a before photo:

Do you see how HUGE that wall is!?  Yes, I have lived in my home for 3 years and it took me...oh...about 3 years to figure out what in the world to do with it.  The problem was coming up with a vision, that I could afford.

My budget was tight and for a space so large, I knew I would need to DIY it.

So I built a ginormous Distressed Pallet Board to put in the center of the wall!  Then I built some fabulous PB Knock-Off Shelves (that I will be showing you how to make tomorrow) and hung them on either side of the pallet board.

I added a few fabulous modern Frames, a great Burlap Banner and don't forget the pretty Turquoise Shabby Dresser (that I promise I will show off soon too!)

And after some blood sweat a tears (and about 1 days worth of work in the freezing cold!) we FINALLY had a beautiful DIY Gallery Wall, perfect for my big huge stinkin' wall!

The pallet board + the 6 shelves took exactly 1 day to create and only cost about $50!

This ended up being a completely affordable and do-able project!  And I love how it turned out!

So so pretty, shabby, chic and perfect for my style!

And the best part is that we are able to show off our priceless photos we had taken the day before we lost our little baby. It is the perfect way to display those photos and these photos are some of my absolute, all-time, favorite family photos!  I just love it!
