In a mad rush to pick out a book to read the other day on my way out of town, I grabbed a book named "How to Bake a Perfect Life" by Barbara O'Neal.  I actually enjoyed the book, the plot is fairly predictable but it has enough twists and turns that it kept it interesting enough.

The main character in the book owns a bakery, so reading the book made me want to bake!  And...there were RECIPES in the book!!  Oh yes.  Actual recipes.  I decided to start easy, very very easy.  I decided to try making Pain au Chocolat.

I kept is super simple and used frozen puff pastry and they did turn out yummy!

  2. Prepare two cookie sheets by lining with parchment or spraying with cooking spray
  3. Cut each pastry sheet into 12 squares
