This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and GoodNites, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #BetterNights http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

My son is almost 3.5 years old and as of a couple of weeks ago was barely potty trained. And I mean...barely. We still had to give him lots of reminders and we still had accidents on a regular basis. We have been trying for several months to successfully potty train our son and it just wasn't going very well!

My daughter (now 6) was potty trained before she was 2. She wanted to be potty trained, and she became very successful very quickly both at day time training and then at night time training. She was totally and completely, day time and night time potty trained by 2. It was amazing.

But my son was a different story. Completely different personality too. However, my son not being even close to being potty trained past 3 years old was hard for many reasons.

Thankfully, a couple of weeks ago, something clicked. Finally. And he all of the sudden "got it" and was totally potty trained. He will now go potty without reminders, he will take himself potty many times during the day and will even tell me, often, that he has to go potty while we are out. We go everywhere with big boy underpants on now. It is such a wonderful accomplishment for my son!

But night time training was totally beyond us. I haven't been stressing about it though until after he was day time trained. We just put him in a diaper at night and didn't worry about it.

Until Target asked me to participate in a GoodNites campaign and then I realized that this was a challenge we were finally ready to face!

I was provided with a $1.50 off coupon to use on the purchase of GoodNights Bedtime Underwear or Bedtime Mats. I, of course, forgot the coupon at home, but still purchased a package of the GoodNights Bedtime Underwear for my son to try out. (You too can enjoy the use of this coupon by clicking here.)

First of all, can I say that he was soooooo excited that these "special night time pull-ups" as he calls them, have really cool monster truck type cars on them and fun camouflage patterns! They are really fun and have such good "boy" designs on them! The best I've seen.

He couldn't wait to wear them!

We talked about them and let him know that they were special night time underwear but that he STILL needed to keep them clean and dry...just like his underwear. We crossed our fingers and hoped that any of that sunk in.

Almost immediately we went from poopy and wet diapers every night to dry bedtime underwear and our son ASKING to go potty after he went to bed in order to keep them clean!

Yes. Almost immediately my son started taking himself potty after he went to bed in order to keep his special night time underwear clean!!

Wow!!!

We are so proud of our son's success!

Now I realize that part of his success was due to the fact that he had already mastered day-time potty training and he was physically ready to begin night-time training. But GoodNites Bedtime Underwear are making this so much easier for successful for us!

Can I just take a moment here to mention that it is IMPOSSIBLE to take a photo of a 3 year old boy who never stands still!?!?

Soon we will let our son start wearing his regular underwear to bed and we will try using GoodNites Bed Mats just to help with clean-up of the occasional accident. My son is already begging to keep his big boy underpants on at bedtime so I know he will be so excited when we make the transition soon!

Potty training is one of my least favorite mommy-duties ever. But I am so grateful that Target has made night time potty training so much easier with their great selection of GoodNites Bedtime Underwear and their GoodNites Bed Mats!

What a cutie!! Don't fret about the night time training...my son was fully potty trained by 2.5...in the DAYTIME. He is FIVE and still wakes up with the occasional wet training pants. And the 'occasional' part just started a few weeks ago..until then it was almost nightly. He sleeps like a rock! I'm so excited to try these Goodnites!! Thanks for sharing!
