You guys know I love smoothies!  They are a delicious way to eat your fruits and vegetable and even my kids love them!  Their favorite smoothie is a green one filled with spinach actually!  Yum!  But today I am really excited to share a tasty recipe I came up with that is perfect for summer!  This Tropical Pineapple Mango Smoothie is perfectly for breakfast or a snack and is a great way to stay cool this summer!  Make sure to check out my recipe and then pin it for later!

Tropical Pineapple Mango Smoothie - this is so simple to make and so refreshingly delicious

Tropical Pineapple Mango Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups milk
  • 2 cups pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup mango
  • 1 banana
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Ice if desired

My favorite thing about making smoothies is that they are so easy to make and you can modify the recipe to suit your preferences or to what you have on hand!  And if you have enough ripe fruit in the smoothie, you do not need to add sugar to it which keeps smoothie healthy.  Smoothies are a great way to use over-ripe bananas because they will add a touch of sweetness to this smoothie naturally!

You can use fresh ingredients or frozen for this recipe.  If you use frozen you should not need to add any ice to the recipe.  But if you use fresh, you might want to add a handful of ice to make your smoothie a delicious cool treat!

I usually just throw all my ingredients into my Vitamix blender (affiliate link) and let it blend until it is really smooth.  My kids don't like smoothies with bits of fruit in them (and who does!?) so I make sure to blend it really well before serving.  But this is so easy with my Vitamix and takes under 1 minute to blend until perfectly smooth!

You can garnish your smoothie with a slice of pineapple, mango, banana or another tropical fruit like I did with this lime!  It just looks pretty with the line doesn't it!?  The options are truly endless though!

We love making smoothies at our house!  Here are a few of our other favorites:
