Fresh Flowers - Simple Holiday Decor

I love fresh flowers!  And I think that a beautiful simple arrangement of fresh flowers on the table (or anywhere in the home) is an elegant and chic way to decorate for the season.

So this year, ditch the traditional poinsettia and decorate with a simple vase of fresh red roses.

For this arrangement I cut the flowers so that they were barely taller then the vase. This is perfect for a holiday table so that your guests don't have to look around a large arrangement to see the person across from them.

Then I cut most of the metal tip off of a fancy, jewled crosage pin and placed it carefully in the center of each rose. Be very careful not to push the pin through the flower! That will damage your flowers and they won't live as long. You just want to carefuly place the metal part inbetween the center petals. (I hope that makes sense!)

Add a bow and you have yourself an incredibly simple, elegant and chic flower arrangement!

If you have a very tall, skinny vase, fill them with cranberries, tie three flowers together with a ribbon and enjoy this elegant look on your table.  (You can also fill these with coffee beans for a different look!)

This is another way to create a short vase by filling the bottom with cranberries, coffee beans, or decorative rocks.

Have fun decorating with flowers!
