One of the things I love most about being a mom is having the opportunity to watch my children learn and grow! I love watching them excel in activities and I love helping them when they encounter difficulties. I love being there every step along the way as my children grow into amazing, beautiful, good, smart and strong people!
A few years ago, my children started begging to have a garden. And so last year we finally did it! We built planters and bought plants. And our children loved nurturing and caring for our wonderful fruits and vegetables. They found joy in the plants' growth and would always come running when a plant had produced food! Growing a garden reminds me of how I am "growing" my children. As a mom, I can do my best to give my children a good environment, enough nourishment and enough love to succeed. And I always find great joy when my children produce something beautiful (be it artwork, music or simply making a good choice!).
I also love how I get to watch my children provide tender care to the plants, watering and weeding. Not only did they grow a garden, but they grew as loving, caring individuals themselves.
This spring as we begin to choose flowers, fruits and vegetables for our garden my children are dreaming about what to grow this year. My son wants to grow flowers for his sister. And my daughter wants to grow strawberries so we can make jam.
I love how my children are blossoming into lovely people and just as my children are so proud of the garden they grew, I am so proud to be the mother of amazing children and hope every day that I can do my best to nurture and help them.
As we get ready to plant our garden, I will be using Miracle-Gro again this year to help my garden grow! We have always had great success using that brand and will continue to use it as we plant, nurture and grow our garden this year!
This year as I grow my garden, I will remember that I am also growing my children too! I love finding wonderful opportunities for our family to learn, grow and become a stronger family and gardening has done just that for our family!

Great idea - I love gardening with our family too! We have a vegetable garden and I always plant a big urn of fresh herbs for our deck so I can gather some quickly at mealtime for our salads!

Oh I forget to water it too! Thankfully my husband helped me rig a sprinkler system so the plants stay alive! haha!
