Ok.  I may have gotten a bit carried away...and to boot, I have no one to eat these yummy treats...guess I am taking them to friends later today!

Who can resist brownies.  I just bake mine from a box, but they are still so yummy!  Cut them with a shamrock cookie cutter, add some green powdered sugar on top, and you have St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Brownies!

(Note:  To make green powdered sugar, mix powdered sugar with green food coloring.  But be warned!  I used almost an entire bottle of green food coloring to about 1 cup of powdered sugar!  It takes a lot of food coloring!  When you do this, the green food coloring will clump together.  Don't worry, just stir it for a bit, then push it all through a sieve.  Add more food coloring and repeat until the powdered sugar is as dark of a green as you like it, then sprinkle on top of the brownies!)

I had this thought at the grocery store while in the cereal aisle, that if rice crispy treats were good, wouldn't Lucky Charms make good rice crispy-type treats too?  And they are totally St. Patrick's Day worthy!

Just mix about 6 cups of Lucky Charms (I used the store brand) with about ½ stick of melted butter and 10.5 ounces of melted marshmallows.  Put in a 9x13 pan and enjoy!  (Or, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla like I did HERE for a more flavorful version!)

Happy Baking and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
