I officially have 100% of my Christmas shopping done!!  Hurray!  Now it is on to wrapping.

I have to admit, I love shopping, but I don't love wrapping quite as much 馃檨

So here are a few ideas to make your holiday wrapping easy and unique this year without overwhelming you or your budget!

Instead of using those cheap stick on To/From labels that don't look pretty but are your go-to every year (oh admit it...I use them too!), print out black and white photos (13 cents a print at Costco) and adhere the photo of the person who is to receive the gift.  This will make distribution on Christmas day super easy; even the littlest of children can be put in charge of distributing gifts that morning!

Go eco-friendly and clean out your fabric stash by wrapping gifts with fabric remnants!  Fabric can be inexpensive (free if you already have a stash) and can be re-used!  Use hot-glue like tape when you wrap a package like this.

Create your own bows/decorations for your gifts!  They are simple, quick and will help you clean out your scrapbook paper stash!  See here for how to make these cute cone bows!

Gift Wrapping Tips:

  1. If you have a child who likes to peek at his/her gifts, use double stick tape or a hot glue gun to seal all edges.  It will make it impossible for your child to get into his/her gifts without your knowledge!
  2. Don't wait until Christmas Eve to wrap!  As you buy gifts, bring it home and wrap it up right away.  Afraid that you will forget what it is, put a post-it note on the outside to label it!
  3. Stick to plain or simple wrapping paper that you can use all year long like white or brown.  Then dress it up for the applicable occasion with ribbons, bows or other decorations!

Happy Wrapping!

Your photo idea is genius! The photographs light up the whole gift - no other adornment needed.
