When you are looking to add a bit of decor in your home for the holidays but don't want to spend a lot of money, when you are out of ideas and out of time, when all else fails...PAINT!

I found these star boxes at Hobby Lobby for about a dollar each (clearance).  Added some craft paint, distressed the edges and then put a coat of stain on them to add a bit of character!
