I can't believe I am already bringing out the Christmas decorations...and it's not even Thanksgiving yet.  I know I know, it's bad.  I also sung a couple of Christmas songs the other day too! (gasp!)  But in all seriousness, I really do love creating and decorating for Christmas and so today I came up with a really fun and simple to create, Rustic Gold Reindeer Decor idea!

Gold Reindeer Decor

To create this Rustic Gold Reindeer Decor, you will need:

  • Wooden Reindeer Head from craft store
  • Wooden Plaque, big enough for the reindeer head to be placed on
  • Cream Paint
  • Gold Metallic Paint
  • Foam Paint Brushes
  • Ryobi AirStrike Nail Gun
  • Electric Sander

Supplies

First you will simply paint your plaque cream and your reindeer head gold and let them dry completely.

Then you will simply use your nail gun to tack your reindeer head onto the plaque.  I only used four nails for the entire project!

You can use wood glue and clamps, but using a nail gun makes this project super fast and simple!

After it is done you can sand the entire thing down to give it a rustic worn look!

I currently have mine displayed on my Metallic Gold Honeycomb Dresser and it is so pretty!  I love the simplicity of it.

And I love the rustic worn look in contrast to the metallic gold paint.  It is such a fun and unexpected combination that I just love it!
