I am so excited because today I am doing a blog swap with Made by Stephie!  I always love a good blog swap!  And Stephie is sharing an AMAZING tutorial with us today, she's so creative, so it is a great blog swap today!

Well without further ado, I will hand my blog over to Stephie...make sure to drop by her blog here to check out my post too!

(Oh wait...one more thing...be sure to link up at my Link Party here and enter my AMAZING giveaway here!  Ok...I am handing it over now, promise!)

Hi Simply Designing Fans! I'm Stephie from Made By Stephie and I am soooo excited to be here today! I love Simply Designing and I check it out daily! I am going to be showing you how I made this jewelry tray:

023 | Blog Swap with Made By Stephie | 11 | But - first here is a little about me. I am a photographer (SCAD educated - stop by Hicks Photography and check me out! ) in nursing school and I am married to an amazing artist (also a SCAD grad). I love to craft, bake , refurnish furniture, and "upcycle" Goodwill finds. Well - enough about me - here comes the fun stuff! I found this gold mirror @ a local thrift/junk store.
005 | Blog Swap with Made By Stephie | 12 | I wasn't sure what to do with it but because it was a dollar I took it home. I needed something for my nightstand to hold jewelry (I'm always taking my earrings off and laying them on the nightstand) so I came up with this! First I removed the backing and pried the mirror off.

009 | Blog Swap with Made By Stephie | 13 | Then I spray painted it a glossy white. Before it dried I took a dry paint brush and rubbed some of the paint off to give it a distressed look

017 | Blog Swap with Made By Stephie | 14 | I glued the mirror to the original cardboard backing. Then I glued fabric on to it. Once it dried I hot glued it back into the frame.
023 | Blog Swap with Made By Stephie | 11 | And now I have a jewelry tray for my nightstand!! I hope you will stop by Made By Stephie and check out all of my other projects and furniture redo! I love getting new followers and comments!

A big thank you to Ashley for letting me take over your blog for the day!

See Ya Later Simply Desinging Fans!!
Stephie
