Perhaps someone can help me out...

I am feeling a little dumb asking this question. But I am fairly new to blogland and I just don't quite understand something. I am hoping perhaps someone has an explaination for me.

What is the difference between a Follower and a Friend? I guess I know what Followers are, but what are Friends? And are Friends also Followers or vice versa?

I feel silly asking, but thanks in advance for your answers!

And kudos on all the friends/followers! LoL - I get a lot of views, but I think sometimes they are ninjas because they like to follow secretly. 🙂 Your site is great! I just came across it the day before yesterday and already I've loving the terrific tips!

I have always wondered the same thing. Know what else makes me puzzled,,some people become followers, others subscribe, some do both.

I would say any follower is a friend and any friend truly follows a good leader, i guess you have the best of both worlds:D

I've wondered that too. Also, I use google reader but I think if I have a subscription to a blog, I don't think I'm a follower. Confusing.

    Hi!

I believe the different terms mentioned above are the way you can "follow" the blog. A Google Friend is a good way to connect with the blog, network, link to one another and develop a proactive discussion.

The other way to follow a blog is to subscribe to the blog via email. This means receiving email alerts every time a new post was published.
