*This giveaway is now closed. The winner has been announced at the end of this blog post,*

Oh my goodness...Christmas is right around the corner! Raise your hand if you are 100% completely done with your shopping? I. Finally. Am. I had the majority of everything done a long time ago (I start worrying in September about Christmas...yup I'm one of those people.) But there are certain things that just have to wait until the last minute!

Namely, some of our traditional stocking stuffers need to wait until closer to the time to be bought. So this year I thought I'd take you along to Target with me to pick up a few last minute Stocking Stuffer Ideas for my children! Come and see what Christmas morning is like for the Simply Designing children...

16 Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Kids | #christmas #stockingstuffers #mykindofholiday

We like to stuff our stockings with a mix of fun small toys and yummy treats and...uhm...Christmas breakfast. Yup. We eat really yummy waffles a little later in the day but to get is through the first push of Christmas gift opening...we stock out stockings with some food as well!

My kids love these Got Milk Straws! They just make milk taste so much better (according to them!)

I often buy band-aids in bulk..and let's be honest, they aren't pretty! So my children often find fun band-aids in the stockings on Christmas morning!

Both of my children love Hot Wheel cars and at about $1 a piece, you can be sure that a few of these will make their way into stockings this year!

Santa leaves everyone in our family a box of granola bars to snack on Christmas morning.

Santa loves to stock up on great stocking stuffers in the $1 section of Target! And my children always need new gloves!

Action figures are always a huge hit with my children! My son currently loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Fruit snacks or fruit rolls ups, not so healthy, but they are generally a fun "treat" that appears Christmas morning! And what child wouldn't love an entire box of fruit snacks to themselves!?

My daughter loves nail polish and hair bows! Target had this cute display of great girl stocking stuffers set up near the front door!

More action figures for my son.

photo+4+(1) | Stocking Stuffers for Kids + Target Giveaway #MyKindOfHoliday | 48 |
My children always get a yummy drink next to their stocking too! I usually look for a 100% juice box for them.

Stockings are the perfect place to put new art supplies!

photo+4 | Stocking Stuffers for Kids + Target Giveaway #MyKindOfHoliday | 50 |
Rainbow Loom rubber bands...need I say more. My daughter is obsessed and her stocking will most likely be half full of these!! I love the variety packs that Target has too! So fun!

photo+5+(1) | Stocking Stuffers for Kids + Target Giveaway #MyKindOfHoliday | 51 |
We usually put 1-2 actual candy treats in their stocking. This year they are getting M&M's in a candy cane tube.

photo+5+(2) | Stocking Stuffers for Kids + Target Giveaway #MyKindOfHoliday | 52 |
Cereal! Yup. This is our pseudo first breakfast on the big day! Everyone gets their own big box of yummy sugary cereal! Seriously. I realize this is no worse then candy...but it is a HUGE hit in my house.

photo+5 | Stocking Stuffers for Kids + Target Giveaway #MyKindOfHoliday | 53 |
Small dolls for my daughter...who currently LOVES FROZEN so I know she will be getting a few FROZEN toys for Christmas this year!

And yes, Santa totally bought fun electric toothbrushes for the kids stockings this year! How fun are these!? And for $2.49, it's a great deal!

So now the tree is up, the house is decorated, the presents are purchased and stocking stuffers are acquired. Just a few things left to do before Christmas comes!

    My favorite gift was a journal my husband gave to me. He wrote in it everyday that year before Christmas. I really want to do that for him this next year. 🙂

    My favorite gift was a silhouette print of all of my mother laws grand kids. I designed it last year and presented it to her and we both cried. She loved it, especially since one of my nephews passed away. I loved how it turned out!

    My absolute FAVORITE thing at Target right now is the Threshold Faux Fur throw. I bought one for my husband's work gift exchange (he's the new guy, so it had to be good!), and almost caused a riot! I got one for us when they went back on sale, and we have to "time" everyone's use of it so things are equal. Seriously. it's that awesome.

I'd definitely

    I am completely pleased with myself that I located and purchased a Transformers Construct-Bots Triple Changers Bumblebee Buildable Action Figure for my niece (bless her heart) who is just that kind of girl, interested in building stuff and oblivious to labels like "boy's toy". She requested it very specifically. I got it at Target of course!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would love to get my husband a new computer that he wants. Love your stocking stuffer ideas, they are on track with what I consider stocking stuffers. Love when someone has $20+ dollar items for stocking stuffers, that is a gift not a stocking stuffer.
