I am part of the Make It Fun Team® with FloraCraft® and I am thrilled that they helped make this post possible today.

I am already planning for the holidays.  I have a long gift list and a small budget and so this year I am getting creative and making many of my gifts to give to neighbors and friends.  But this year I want to give something a little unexpected.  I want to give a gift that could be used and displayed all year long and so I came up with these really fun Succulent Tin Can Gift!  These are fun and so simple to make and in an afternoon you can have a bunch of these ready to hand out for the holidays!  See how I created these and grab a free holiday printable too!

Succulent Tin Can Gift

You need just a few, inexpensive supplies to create this Succulent Tin Can Gift:

  • Tin Cans, empty and clean
  • FloraCraft® Styrofoam Balls, varying sizes to fit in your cans
  • Gold Spray Paint
  • Various Fake Succulents
  • Hot Glue

Supplies

First you will want to empty and clean your cans.  I prefer to use a can opener that gives clean edges.  Remove the label, clean and dry the can.

Spray paint the outside of the cans with gold (or preferred) spray paint.

Assemble Gift

Place Styrofoam balls into the cans and secure with hot glue.

Place the succulents into the tin can and into the Styrofoam.

Succulent Gift

If you like you can add a bit of jute or ribbon around the tin can and add a gift tag!

If you'd like you can download my Merry Christmas Tag HERE.  It is such a fun hexagon shaped label that is perfect printed on kraft paper!

Tin Can Gift

This simple gift only takes a few minutes to make and it only costs a few dollars!  Which makes it a perfect Holiday, Birthday, or just because Gift!

And FloraCraft® is giving away a really awesome prize package this month!  It is filled with over $250 in crafting goodies!  Woot woot!  So be sure to take a moment and enter to win!

Funny thing... I can't grow plants BUT I was doing good with some real succulents and was super proud of myself. And then I left the dogs to roam free in the house one day and came home to an empty planter 🙁 These are so cute and easy - I think I might just have to go with fake this time! Thanks for the idea!
