Quick and Healthy Meals while Pregnant #HonestlyGood #PMedia #ad

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Lean Cuisine, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HonestlyGood #ad http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

Can I be honest for a minute?  I am 26 weeks pregnant and baby and I are both getting big (read more about my pregnancy here).  Baby boy is overtaking my body, pushing my ribs and making it harder to eat.  I am hungry all the time, but I can only eat small amounts at a time.

I used to drink a protein shake for breakfast and eat a yogurt with some fruit for lunch and I would be fine until dinner.  But that just doesn't cut it when I am pregnant.  I need more food.  Actual healthy food, not just snacks.  Several times a day.  And I don't love to cook, nor do I have the time or energy to cook several meals a day, so I am always looking for healthy and tasty options to get my body the nutrition is needs while keeping my belly full.

So I was excited to hear that Lean Cuisine has come out with a new line of microwave meals: Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals.  Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals are made with natural ingredients (all things that I can pronounce) and are a quick and healthy alternative to other meal options.

Because I eat, constantly, I decided to switch out my normal lunch-grazing for a Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meal to help me eat a well-rounded healthy meal that I truly need to get me through the afternoon.  So I headed to +Target  to pick up a few meals to try!

At first I couldn't find the Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals, but then I realized that they were with the healthy, natural microwave meals!  Makes perfect sense since these are made with wholesome natural ingredients.

Lean Cuisine's new Honestly Good meals come in 6 varieties including 2 fish options, 1 beef option and 3 chicken options.  I had a hard time choosing, so I came home with 5 different meals to try.  (That's what happens when a pregnant woman shops hungry!)

As a busy (pregnant) mom who tries to eat healthy and stay fit, it is helpful to me to have quick options for lunch that I know are healthy and I know will keep me full for longer then 10 minutes.  Lean Cuisine's Honestly Good meals are, honestly, good.

Even my son wanted to try a bite!  Yum.

I'm pretty picky about my food and I was happy that my vegetables were cooked yet still crunchy (not soggy) and the brown and wild rice with pineapple and almonds had a nice texture to it and was really tasty!  The beef had very little fat on it and was honestly not too bad for a microwave meal.  And the sauce was tasty too!

I love that half of my plate was filled with vegetables!  I rarely eat vegetables for lunch so this was a great way to add a good helping of vegetables into my lunch.  Yum.  And Lean Cuisine and their farmers are donating a portion of vegetables grown for these meals to local communities.  So you can eat healthy and know you are helping out too!

I am really excited to have a few extra options in my freezer for lunches this week!

Overall, I thought that Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals were a good microwave meal and healthy and quick new lunch option!  I love that these are made with all natural ingredients that I can pronounce and that they are healthy.  My only con is that I wish they offered vegetarian options as well as meat options.  Thanks to Lean Cuisine for helping to fill my freezer with a few fun lunch options for the week!  You can learn more here.

So I want to know, what do you normally eat for lunch?

They are tasty! And just remember, at least at my Target, they were with the other natural frozen meals, not with the other Lean Cuisine meals! Enjoy! 🙂
