You are MINT to be my Teacher

So I decided to create a really fun Back to School Teacher Gift using my Silhouette Cameo and my new Sketch Pens:  you are MINT to be my teacher.

It turned out really cute and I can't wait for my children to take these to their teachers soon!  I know they will be a huge hit!  So come and see how I created these!

These were really simple to make and I just love the Chalkboard look I was able to create:  perfect for a teacher gift, duncha think!?  teeheehee

I designed these tags in my Silhouette Studio Software program.  I do have the designer edition but that isn't necessary to create a similar looking project!

I downloaded the Loopy Frame and sized it to fit on my turquoise chevron bags.  I then selected the frame, chose the "sketch" menu and selected "continuous" and it added a more hand-drawn look to the image!

I then selected a couple of fonts that I thought looked like chalkboard handwriting fonts and sized it accordingly.  I used Chalkboard Chum and Return to Sender....aren't they so fun?!

The Sketch Pen fits in perfectly where the blade normally goes.  So simply replace the blade with the pen and "cut" your design.

When you go to the "cut" menu, be sure to select "Sketch Pens" as your medium.

As a fair warning, if you have a big file you are sketching, it can take a while for your computer to send it to your Silhouette to sketch.  And the sketching process does take a little while if you have an intricate design like I did.  But it is totally worth it in the end to be able to get a really cool tag like this!!

Do you plan to have your children give a small gift to their teacher this year?

If you like this idea, You are MINT to be my Teacher, would you mind taking a moment to Pin It for me?  Thanks!
